Get your sun glasses on …..
JC Cellars brought in the last of our fruit this past week, the last being my favorite Rockpile Syrah. This might actually turn out to be one of the best Rockpile Syrah I have made with plenty of hang time, great flavors with lower brix. Time will tell!
By the way all three cement tanks are full and fermenting very well. The Egg has Roussanne from Paso Robles; the Hippo and the new Cement tank (called the Crow’s Nest) contain Grenache also from Paso Robles.
Today we started to put together the base for our The Impostor blend with a mixture of Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah and Carignan. We still have Grenache, Mourvèdre, more Zinfandel, more Syrah and of course some Viognier to add. So to all you Impostor Fans…. get your sun glasses on, because the future’s looking mighty bright!
